ROCKRITE® Product Description
Rockrite is a monolithic backer unit utilized to install ceramic, porcelain, natural stone and other tile-like materials upon kitchen and bath counter tops, bar tops, barbeques and other surfaces. After joints are treated, ceramic tile is applied using latex fortified mortar; Rockrite meets the standards of performance of a cement board and plywood system.

Rockrite comes in 48” x 22” x 1 ½ ” , 48” x 25” x 1 ½”and 48” x 25” x 3” sizes.
Uses
Rockrite is designed for use as and interior or exterior substrate for ceramic tile, stone, slate or other similar surface systems on kitchen and bath counter tops, bar tops and barbeques.
When using Rockrite in place of mortar bed, for under mounted sinks, see TCA handbook C511-02, plywood supports must be used. Maximum cabinet box width should not exceed 24” with supports at 16”o.c.. Positive uniform loads not to exceed 500 psf. Rockrite is unaffected by water but is not waterproof. Cantilever of Rockrite should not exceed 1” with out support.
